Goodhue County Early Voting

Greg Taylor

We're three weeks out from Election Day, but you don't have to wait until then to cast your vote.

Minnesota voters can vote early (absentee) for any reason or no reason at all.

To vote early in person in Goodhue County, you’ll need to visit the Goodhue County Government Center at 509 West Fifth St.

This is a change from the last election cycle.

While you’ve always been able to vote early at the Government Center, early voting was previously also conducted at City Hall for Red Wing residents.

However, for 2024, Goodhue County, which is the local election authority, opted to centralize all early voting countywide to one location.

Your other option to vote early is by mail.

You can request an absentee ballot online from the Minnesota Secretary of State or return a printed absentee ballot request form to Goodhue County.

Absentee ballots must be witnessed and received no later than Election Day.
