The upcoming Freshly Painted Art Auction on November 19th is being hosted in partnership with Red Wing Arts and the Sheldon Theatre. Heather Lawrenz, Program Director for Red Wing Arts, says all the proceeds will benefit the United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, and Pierce Counties’ strategic funding initiative to help solve local homelessness.
Lawrenz says a total of 10 artists created 18 unique art pieces with a common theme. She says the hope is the special art event will help with community awareness of the problem of homelessness.
The Freshly Painted Art Auction will be in the LaGrange Parking lot, complete with heaters, and, in addition to the art auction, there will be a mobile bar and a food truck on site.
