After a one-year hiatus, fireworks will return to Lake City on July 4th next year.
A group of concerned citizens approached the Lake City Lions Club about working with them to raise funds needed for the show. Dan Wood, a Lake City native, who has recently returned to live in Lake City, and a new Lions Club member is leading the Lions Club committee.
The fundraising goal is $15,000. Wood, along with Lions Club members, will reach out to individuals, groups, foundations and businesses to secure the needed funds. Fundraising activities will also take place throughout the year.
Securing funds early is important as discounts are available from the fireworks vendor for early payment. So, if you missed the fireworks show in 2023, please make a generous donation without delay.
Donations to the fireworks may be made by check payable to Lake City Lions Club and mailed to Lake City Lions Club, P. O. Box 212, Lake City, MN 55041.
