Greg Taylor

As we get into the last week of October the changing of the leaves in southeast Minnesota is still at least week behind of  what is considered typical timing.

According to the Fall Color Finder on the Minnesota DNR website, as of Monday, the eastern portions of Goodhue, Wabasha and Winona counties are at 50-75%.

The remainder of Goodhue and Winona County are 75-100% peak with central and southern Wabasha and much of Olmsted County are now past peak colors.

All but the most southern part of Dakota County is in the 50-75% category, with the southern border at 75-100%.

In western Wisconsin, as of late last week, Pierce County 55% and Buffalo County at 60%.

Pepin County is at now at full peak and Trempealeau County is now at 95% as of yesterday.
