Ellsworth East End Revitalization

The Village’s East End Revitalization Initiative in Ellsworth has been named the 2026 Wisconsin Top Rural Development Initiative Award winner by Wisconsin Rural Partners.

This award recognizes initiatives across the state that strengthen rural communities, improve quality of life, and support long-term economic vitality.

According to Wisconsin Rural Partners, the East End efforts stood out for their commitment to community progress and thoughtful investment in Ellsworth’s future.

The recognition reflects years of planning and collaboration that helped lay the groundwork - including Design Ellsworth, the Village Comprehensive Plan, the Village Strategic Plan, the East End Redevelopment District Plan, and the Village securing a $1.57 million ARIP grant to help fund the upcoming East End street and infrastructure improvements.
