Elgin Possible Waterline Extension

Elgin’s City Council on April 15th discussed waterline extension feasibility with Brett Grabau, a Senior Civil Engineer at Stantec Consulting Services Inc. in Rochester.

The Plainview News reports Stantec assembled a feasibility study for extending the waterline to the Rolling Hills subdivision, to serve an additional 100 new homes.

Grabau said two water systems should be linked up so that the city has one water system.

He said the water project could cost $440,000 to $529,000.
