Elgin ‘Hometown Heroes’ T-shirt

Desi Wehrs, daughter of Elgin Fire Chief Dusty Wehrs, has created a ‘Hometown Heroes’ t-shirt as a Girl Scout project to help raise funds for Elgin’s proposed Emergency Services building, which would house the Fire Department and Elgin Ambulance Service.

The project also is meant to show support for those who work to keep communities safe.

According to the Plainview News, each shirt features a unique design showcasing emergency service icons and the message ‘Support Our Heroes,’ a reminder of the role these services play in our lives.

Wehrs partnered with 230 & Main, a custom apparel company, on the project.
