There will be a special Eisenhower Bridge of Valor Dedication this weekend.
The dedication is at Bay Point Park in Red Wing Sunday, August 7 at 10 am.
Dedication Committee Volunteer Jane Drazkowksi says the program will include local stories of great courage.
There will be multi-generation Honor Guard with Red Wing’s all VETS Color Guard, bagpipes, Red Wing’s Community Men’s Chorus and soloist Warren Petryk (pee-trick), Wisconsin State Representative District 93.
Committee member Al Risberg says Bay Point park is the perfect place to honor our local and area heroes.
The program also includes a proclamation by USMC Vietnam Veteran David Zien (ZEEN), a former WI State Senator District 23, and a reading of short excerps of a prayer President Dwight Eisenhower wrote.
It’s a rain or shine event and you are encouraged to be a lawn chair.
