Red Wing Downtown Main Street (RWDTMS) is thrilled to announce that more than $700,000 in grant funding has been awarded to redevelopment projects in the heart of Downtown Red Wing.
This funding was awarded the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) through its Main Street Economic Revitalization program.
This program provides matching grants to support the redevelopment of properties impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and to stimulate long-term economic growth.
The awarded projects represent a diverse mix of commercial, residential, and mixed-use spaces, all contributing to Red Wing’s vision of a vibrant and thriving downtown core.
Grant recipients include:
Derosa Capital, LLC, for the Boxrud Building, located at 415 Main Street
BAR Properties for the Mississippi Laundry Building, located at 425 Plum Street
Knight Berry, LLC, for the Eagle Building, located at 433 West Third Street
RW3 Capital Investments for the Eagle House Building, located at 325 Plum Street
RW Capital Investment for the former Chief Theater Building, located at 325 Bush Street
Bush Street Investment for the former Hallstrom’s Building, located at 317 Bush Street
Red Wing Hotel Corporation for the St. James Hotel at 406 Main Street
Siewert’s Construction for the Gladstone Building at 309 Bush Street
An additional project has been preliminarily approved and will be announced at a later date once final paperwork and approvals are complete.
