Drought Conditions Minnesota

Greg Taylor

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has issued a drought warning for much of the state, including Red Wing and Goodhue and Wabasha Counties, which are experiencing moderate to severe drought, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.

Because of these conditions, the DNR is asking cities to reduce their daily water usage.

While Red Wing currently meets the reduction threshold, we’re still encouraging citizens to restrict watering lawns or gardens and all other non-essential indoor and outdoor water usage between the hours of 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
