DEED Workforce Grants Red Wing Public Schools

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development is handing out over $13-million in workforce grants to 43 organizations around the state, including a pair in Red Wing.

The funding through three Pathways to Prosperity programs will help provide skills training and support services to Minnesotans who face barriers to employment.

Red Wing Public Schools/Hiawatha Valley Adult Basic Education (ABE) will receive $250,000 through the On Ramp to Career Pathways Grant:

Red Wing Public Schools - $150,000 through Individual Training Pathways Grants:

Bridges to Career Pathways Grantees include Red Wing Public Schools/Hiawatha Valley ABE - $250,000 and Northfield Healthy Community Initiative, in Northfield - $212,500.

Each program provides skills training and support services to help trainees increase employability and preparedness for family-sustaining careers.
