Following a guilty plea to felony fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct as part of a January 2023 plea deal, a Red Wing man has been sentenced in Goodhue County District Court to 180 days in jail and two years of supervised probation.
34-year-old Jack Fickle was sentenced for sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman who was staying at a motel he was working at as the front desk clerk.
Fickle was working as the front desk clerk at a Red Wing Super 8 Motel on January 11, 2021, when a Goodhue County Sheriff's deputy dropped off a woman who had reported her boyfriend assaulted her in Pine Island.
Fickle was able to enter her room with a key in his possession and then he sexually assaulted the woman.
Fickel was credited with 100 days for time served and was ordered to successfully complete a sex offender treatment program. If he successfully completes probation, his charges will eventually be dismissed.
