City of Wabasha Accomplishments


The City of Wabasha reviewed its 2025 department accomplishments at its January 2026 City Council meeting.


Some of the highlights included major street projects, increased number of police, fire, and EMS calls, new partnerships, outstanding programming at the library, high levels of pool attendance and over $888,000 in grants that benefited the City of Wabasha.


In the Emergency Management Department alone, the City added new bike path lighting and fixed path, relocated the new Skate Park, added rip rap to prevent future erosion along river, moved Malone playground out of flood zone and moved to Eagles Basin and Riley Costello won Emergency Manager of the Year from the Association of Minnesota Emergency Managers.


Wabasha City Council approved its final 2025 budget on December 2nd.
