The Administrative Business Department at the City of Red Wing has just won some serious recognition for making the city's budgets understandable for anyone who wants to read them.
First, they won a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, the highest recognition in government accounting and reporting. That was the department’s thirteenth year in a row they received the honor.
They also earned an Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting (PAFR). The PAFR is an easy-to-read version of the budget that makes high finance digestible for the average reader.
Kudos to Marshall Hallock, Administrative Business Director; Sue Iverson, Finance & Accounting Manager; and the entire team behind them.
