The City of Plainview will hold their Fall Cleanup Saturday, October 5 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the Plainview Public Works Building, 230 10th Street SW.
Mayor Aaron Luckstein says Plainview doesn’t have it’s own recycling center of large disposal site so the city brings it to the people. For a reasonable fee, they accept tires, furniture, appliances, electronics, and flourescent bulbs, scrap metal is free to drop off.
Luckstein says City charge small fees for the items the Fall Cleanup collect so the entire community is not paying for a service they don’t use.
The event is for Plainview residents ONLY. No yard waste, garbage or demolition materials will be accepted. Cash or checks only, no credit or debit cards.
