CEC Conference in Red Wing

University of MN Extension will host its 4th Connecting Entrepreneurial Communities (CEC) Conference on Thursday, September 8th & Friday, the 9th in Red Wing at the St James Hotel, Red Wing

Red Wing Ignite is proud to be a host along with other RW partner organizations: Red Wing Chamber, Red Wing Downtown Main Street, Red Wing VCB and the Red Wing Port Authority.

The event is a community development initiative designed to bring together entrepreneurs, business leaders, economic development professionals, decision makers, and community champions to share ideas and strengthen entrepreneurial networks.

The conference will feature an opening keynote panel moderated by Chris Farrell (Marketplace reporter) and the closing keynote will be a faculty from the University of Wisconsin on the case for entrepreneurship as an economic development strategy.

Breakout sessions will be held in downtown venues on topics like fostering rural innovation, growing a diverse and inclusive ecosystem, growing and accessing risk capital, and mapping the entrepreneurial journey.
