Castlerock Museum Civil War

The public is invited to visit Castlerock Museum in Alma on Saturday, July 12th from 10 am – 4 pm for a special program with reenactors from the 2nd Minnesota Battery of Light Artillery.

Visitors can see a full-size replica of a Model 1861 ten-pounder Parrott Rifle and discover how the cannon was used.

They can also learn about the soldiers’ lives, artillery shells and flags, period music and games, and Civil War era firearms.

The Wabasha County Herald reports visitors can also check out the Civil War display in the museum's new American galleries.
