Cannon River Drowning
At 4:39 pm on Friday, September 4th, the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about a male party in the water of Cannon River, near Cannon Falls.
It was determined that three men were swimming when one man went under, and the other two went in after him.
The male who went under the water resurfaced twice and did not resurface again.
A body was located Friday at 6:54 pm.
The family of the man was made aware of the recovery.
The Southern MN Regional Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and will be releasing the name of person located.
The Goodhue County Sheriff's Office, Cannon Falls Police and Fire Departments, Cannon Falls Ambulance, Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office Water Patrol and Dive Team responded.
Also responding on Friday, were the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office Patrol and Recreational Patrol, along the MN DNR.
