The Cannon Falls Rotary is partnering with the United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, & Peirce Counties to sponsor a Blue Bookshelf at the Cannon Falls 5 Star Laundry.
The Blue Bookshelf program places books in the hands of young readers to promote early childhood literacy and education. The bookshelf will be stocked with books for kids to read while they wait and to take home with them to keep.
The books will be maintained and re-stocked on a regular schedule by the Rotary Club.
Cannon Falls kids also benefit from the United Way program Packing for the Weekend which provides simple weekend meals to make sure no kids go hungry.
Donations for Packing for the Weekend in Cannon Falls can be made through the United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, & Peirce Counties, the Cannon Falls Schools, or the Cannon Falls Rotary Club.
