Aarsvold Visionary Impact Award

Val Aarsvold of Altura is among six administrators, businesses, organizations, or supporters nationwide who received the 2025 National Association of Agricultural Educators’ Visionary Impact Award.

The award was presented during the 2025 NAAE Convention, December 8-12, in Nashville, Tenn.

Aarsvold has dedicated 25 years to serving as Executive Director of the Minnesota FFA Foundation, where she expanded the organization’s mission to support not only students, but also agricultural educators, collegiate programs, and proficiency application system (PAS) participants across the state.

According to the Plainview News, under her leadership, the Foundation became a comprehensive support system for every level of the agricultural education pipeline.

She developed major initiatives including educator scholarships, regional advisor stipends, and chapter grant programs - efforts that have collectively strengthened instruction, leadership, and access to opportunity statewide.
