A reminder, the final voting for the River Travel Magazine 2021 Best Holiday River Town Contest ends Friday.
Brent Hanifl, Media Director for River Travel Media, says the national survey focused on the best Holiday Towns along all river communities in the United States.
Hanifl says nominations were based on population so smaller communities like Red Wing and Lake City both won, making the final list.
Winners from the first round of nominations include Stockholm, Wisconsin, and Lake City. Red Wing and Winona tied for 3rd place in cities between 15,001 and 30,000 people.
The final winners will be announced December 8th.
